I chose to study the undergraduate course of cosmetology, since it is one of the fastest developing faculties in Poland with a lot of niche specializations. The modules of the program are diverse and very useful, which allows you to discover what interests us most within the broadly understood field of cosmetology. A key advantage of the Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice is training sessions and demonstrations organized at the college, which are usually free, and are conducted by lecturers who try to make us interested in the topic, not just convey dry theory.
When I complete the program, I am going to move on to the second level – graduate studies – to learn, develop and aim to be the best in the field.

I chose to study at the Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice for a simple reason. The faculty that interested me – dietetics – was just established. I took a risk and… I don’t regret! I chose to specialize in sports nutrition, a specialization that other universities don’t offer. Through the course of studies, I learned the basics that are extremely useful today. I met many people, I still have contact with my lecturers and other people from the industry to this day. Personally, I highly recommend the Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice, because it offers many opportunities for development.

When I started the studies, I already knew that it was a good choice, and time only confirmed it. Thanks to wonderful lecturers, I gained the necessary knowledge in the field of clinical dietetics, which I use in my profession. I met many interesting people here and made new friends. In October, I am starting my graduate studies – the choice was obvious and simple – the Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice.

Majoring in cosmetology will give me the opportunity of my dream job. At the Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice, I have the opportunity to learn how to work in a professional way. A key advantage of the university is that the lectures and exercises are conducted in the same place, right in the center of Katowice. After graduation, I would like to continue my studies in this field. Studying cosmetology has assured me that this is my passion.

Wybrałam I stopień kosmetologii na Śląskiej Wyższej Szkole Medycznej, przede wszystkim ze względu na pozytywnie opinie znajomych, według których wysoki poziom nauczania, kompetentni oraz zawsze służący pomocą wykładowcy, są największymi plusami w/w uczelni. Z czasem przekonałam się, że mieli rację.

Ogromnymi atutami są dobrze wyposażone w sprzęt pracownie, dostęp, zarówno do środków, jak i preparatów do zabiegów, co w kosmetologii jest oczywiście bardzo ważne. Lokalizacja w samym centrum Katowic oraz wykłady/ćwiczenia w jednym miejscu, są dla mnie ogromnymi zaletami. Zamierzam kontynuować naukę na danej uczelni i ściśle wiązać prace z wybranym przeze mnie zawodem.

Jestem bardzo zadowolona z uczelni. Świetnie wyposażone w sprzęt pracownie, zawsze dostępne środki oraz preparaty do zabiegów zapewniają bezproblemowe przyswajanie wiedzy oraz wdrażanie praktyki. Miłym zaskoczeniem okazała się zaskakująco duża zdobyta wiedza już na pierwszym roku studiowania. Wykładowcy bez dwóch zdań podchodzą do swojej pracy z zaangażowaniem i pasją, dzięki czemu nauka staje się przyjemnością.

Studia na kierunku kosmetologii w Śląskiej Wyższej Szkole Medycznej dały mi bogatą wiedzą, zarówno teoretyczną, jak i praktyczną. Poznałam całą aparaturę używaną w salonie, nauczyłam się z niej korzystać oraz wiem jakie zabiegi powinnam wykonać uwzględniając ewentualne problem klientki, wskazania lub przeciwwskazania. Nauczyłam się składu składników aktywnych w preparatach i wiem, który preparat powinnam wybrać do danego zabiegu. Jestem w stanie zalecić klientce pielęgnację domową, jak i wskazać czego powinna unikać. Uświadomiłam sobie jak ważna jest znajomość anatomii i fizjologii człowieka. Kolejną istotną wiedzą jest znajomość chorób, ich przyczyny i objawy, dzięki czemu potrafię je zauważyć u klientki.
