AZS SWSM STUDENT’S SPORT ASSOCIATION

The Students’ Sport Association (part of the national University Sport Association – AZS) was established as an initiative of the students of Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice and approved by the Resolution of the authorities of the Main Board of AZS on October 11, 2014. The club brings together physically active students and employees of our Academy as well as all fans of sport. The Association members can participate in the Polish Academic Championships (AMP) and the Academic Championships of Silesia (AMŚ).

Currently, several sports sections are being planned depending on the needs and expectations of the students of the Silesian Academy of Medical Sciences. We invite all those who love sports and organizing sporting events, are not afraid to take on new tasks, are active, creative and just like to be on the move. How to become a member of the Students’ Sport Association?

In order to become a member of the Students’ Sport Association, it is required to have the ISIC AZS card or the AZS ID card of the local AZS Katowice Club at Dworcowa 15.

The cost of issuing the ID card depends on the chosen insurance option:

Option I – “Standard” Policy:

45 zł with the accident insurance up to 6.500,00 PLN

Option II – “Comfort” Policy:

83 zł with the accident insurance up to 25.000 PLN

Option III – “Sport” Policy:

698 zł with the accident insurance up to 65.000 PLN

The cost will be reimbursed by the College if the Student selects Option I – “Standard” Policy and will participate at least in one tournament representing our Club. The reimbursement is done by a one-time reduction of the tuition fee (details in the bursar’s office). The ID entitles to a number of discounts all over the world, and at the same time provides additional insurance against accidents.
